How it works
This translator uses the MyMemory Translation API, a free, community-driven translation service:
- API: Your text is sent to the MyMemory API endpoint (
api.mymemory.translated.net), which returns the translated text. - 50+ Languages: Supports a wide range of languages including English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and many Indian regional languages like Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and more.
- No API Key: The MyMemory API is free to use without any API key or account. It has reasonable rate limits for normal use.
- Quality: MyMemory combines machine translation with a community memory. Translations are generally accurate for common phrases and sentences. For highly specialized or creative text, results may vary.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this translator free to use?
Yes. This tool uses the MyMemory Translation API, which is free and does not require any API key or account. There are reasonable usage limits per day.
How many languages are supported?
Over 50 languages are supported, including English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and many more.
Is my text stored or sent anywhere?
Your text is sent to the MyMemory API for translation. We do not store your text on our servers. The translation happens in real-time and the text is not logged by us.
Can I swap the languages quickly?
Yes. Click the swap button (arrow icon) between the language selectors. This will swap the source and target languages, and also swap the text in both fields if a translation already exists.
What if the translation is inaccurate?
Machine translation may not always be perfect, especially for idiomatic expressions, technical terms, or less common language pairs. For critical translations, consider reviewing the output or using a professional translation service.
